Monthly Spinners!

Image
I want to make a small, monthly sampler quilt for my kitchen. I picked a block and each month I try to make a block that represents that month. These blocks are 7 inches finished. January was blue for winter, and today I made February's block today with red heart fabric scraps.

A Little Quilting Humor!

Image
Someone sent a link to this Pickles cartoon and it made me laugh! I started a new project, but I can't post pictures since it is a gift for a friend and I have to be sneaky!

Row Number 1 - DONE!!!

Image
Hurrah!!! I got the first row done. Even though they took a long time, I really enjoyed making these blocks. The fabrics in the kit are great!

Newest Additions

After much snow removal and toil, I got two more blocks done. After assembling them, I noticed the stripes on the one are not all going the same direction. I am not suprised with all the chaos in my life lately, so it is staying that way! One more block to go!!!!

Valentine's Day

Image
Our Valentine's Day brought a very nasty sleet storm. It tooks us 3 hours of digging ice to get the cars out. Michael got me flowers the day before and three boxes of chocolate...mmmmmmm!!!!

Plodding Along the Road

Image
What a day. Went to the dentist (one cavity, bummer), my Bernina Aurora serviced to help prevent running stitches and stuff, got in an excellent brisk walk AND managed to finish another block while waiting for our first big snow storm of the year! Half way there!! Trudge trudge!

1 + 1 = 2

Got another road less traveled block done. It took all day! These blocks are becoming a test of my patience, and I have 4 more to go!

The Road Less Traveled Quilt

Image
I joined a new BOM program for a pattern called the Road Less Traveled. The travel on the road feels like a traffic jam since it took over 2 hours to make the first block of row 1! I really deserve a piece of the chocolate pecan pie I made today!

EQing!

Image
I saw a neat block on the internet, so I worked it up using Electric Quilt. I wish I could sew today but son number two now has to go to the doctor for a high fever!

Purple!

Image
It's gotten really cold here in Pennsylvania and my youngest came down with 104.2 temp last night, so I was sewing at some odd hours. This is a color challenge quilt I started last year. I do not have many purples in my stash and it is not a color I am used to working with!
