 Our Friday sewing group is doing our own quilt-a-long!

I made a few more bow-tie blocks on retreat. I am not sure how big this project will get and was playing with possible layouts on the weekend! All in one direction: Quarter turns: Quarter Turns with Sashing:

The boss changed her mind about needing this sample, but I am pressing on! Another bee block!

What a yucky a day I had yesterday. I had a *painful* dentist appointment that gave a me a terrible headache. Michael got a parking ticket in front of the house while brought the gas tank to fill to mower to the backyard. Michael lost his checking card.... When I finally did get to sew, I messed up cutting this panel piece out, so I had to remove one short edge and add a slightly bigger one to compensate for my error! This piece eventually gets added to the pumpkin blocks I have been working on.

My new accuquilt triangle in a square die came! I think I was sewing my seams a bit large, but overall the block came out pretty good. I see one tip that is too long, but my horse gallops fast.

I finished a block this morning and I am off to class!

I made some more bee blocks made - having fun!

I managed to sneak in some fun things! I made a block to match my other one, and made a new block this morning with bees! Finished a quilt top sample for the shop called Clementine's Secret - Took some snaps in my "park" - I snuck to the quilt shop - Now it's back to studying!

I also finished a project for the quilt shop today - I will post that photo tomorrow. It's late now and I just wanted to get this little block sewn!!

I did manage to piece a block yesterday, but I can't post a picture since it is for a challenge I am doing!! I took Thomas fabric shopping for a school project and while I was at there, I came across another cute bee print!!!

We had Andrew's graduation party on Saturday. On Sunday, I prepped for my placement test at college and in the evening we went mini-golfing with friends. I wasn't the best score, but at least I beat Michael by 1 point! This morning, I assembled my block of the month for guild meeting. I really like the look of this block!

This month at block lotto it was our choice to make a 6 inch block with 1930's fabrics. I picked little cedar. Unfortunately, I was so distracted with things going on in my life I made them the wrong size the first time! Here are the remakes!

So far, this has not been a stellar couple of days for my family this week...the boys are disappointed they did not move on in National History Day past the state level, the husband found out he has to go to California again, and I made a big mistake on my quilt block! This is a block for a sampler at the shop - I figure I will just leave it go in as is to remind me of this week! It would have been too much work to re-applique and re-piece it! So, I present, my droopy sunflower block - maybe a bird landed on it and crushed those petals or it could have been that darn rabbit in my back yard up to no good again! You can decide!
