New Fabric ....

Image
I got this piece at the Quiltmaker's Cottage in Hershey, it is from Lotus by Amy Butler.

Shopping spree

Image
Apparently when I bought my sewing machine last month, I earned a 100.00 creative cash award at my sewing machine shop. So ... I ended up getting 8 yards of fabric and some other goodies!

From the trip...

Michael brought me back this fabric from California: Patterns I got on the road: Fabrics I got, top right is a bee print... and a bee button!

Found One Last Quilt Shop

Image
This shop was in Bellefonte. Very nice owner! The shop is in the third bay of her garage, hence the name Third Bay Quilt shop! -- Honeybee Quilter on the road

Another Shop

Went to Anna's and then found Mary Lee's. -- Honeybee Quilter on the road

Karl saw a Singer in the window

Karl was excited to see a Singer Machine in the quilt shop window yesterday. His National History Day project is about Isaac Singer! -- Honeybee Quilter on the road.

Quilt Shop stop

We stopped at Fabrics Galore in Centre Hall yesterday. Neat little shop, but be warned it is up the road from where the GPS takes you! I got a couple of fat quarters and a cute little kit that uses bee prints! -- Honeybee Quilter on the road.

2 New Quilt Shops & finds

Image
We went to a quilt shop in Allentown, NJ. This old mill was near a shop called the Quilter's Cottage. It was a nice little shop and a neat town that I would not mind exploring more! I got two fat quarters while I was there: We then went on to Howell, NJ and visited Mouse Creek Quilts. Really nice shop! Definitely one to go back to! I got 1/2 yard of fabric while I was there and one pattern:

Roadtrip!

Image
It was a nice day yesterday, so we took a roadtrip upstate. We went to Montoursville, then south to Lewisburg and down further to Selinsgrove and Millersburg before heading home. I love seeing the different college towns - maybe to compare it to ours? We stopped at several quilt shops and I got a couple of fabrics and the patterns below. Our Gathering Place in Montoursville was great! She has lots of civil war fabrics. There is also a quilt exhibit called the Gathering Janes going on in Williamsport, but we did not have time to stop. I saw The Beckoning Cat in Lewisburg. Lewisburg has Bucknell University and several neat shops. We had lunch and visited a book shop and met the author of the 100 funniest words in the english language. It's a very interesting book! Then we headed to Selinsgrove (home of Susquehanna U) and I visited The Sewing Shanty. I picked up some cute chocolate fabric there. We then drove down by the river to Millersburg and discovered a ferry there. It is the las...

Somerset Quilt Show & Soho Visit

The Show

The quilt show was okay, lots of art quilts. The bad thing was the facility was kind of dark inside. I will post some pictures of the quilts tomorrow. After the show, we headed to New York. We visited Purl Patchwork in Soho and I got some neat fabrics. I had never been to Soho - it was cool. I even got to try some real New York Pizza! I'll try to post pictures tomorrow after I drop my quilt off with my quilting fairy! [Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]

Yesterday's Roadtrip

Image
We took a roadtrip to Philly yesterday. We stopped for spices at Penzey's in Chestnut Hill and found a fabric shop there called Fabrics on the Hill. We then went to Narberth to visit Cloth & Bobbin and stopped at Spool on South Street. We wrapped it up with some great cheesesteaks at Drexel Hill Pizza and headed home before the storm! These are the fabrics I got!

Quilt Shops and the Borgata

Image
We headed to New Jersey for a road trip and went to two quilt shops! These are some of the fabrics I picked up. One shop was in Swedesboro, the other in Mullica Hill. We then went to the Borgata in Atlantic City. It was very fancy as you can see in the photos below - I even took a picture in the bathroom! (That got some odd looks!) I put 20.00 in a video slot machine and wasn't sure what I was doing. I only picked the machine because it had donuts on it! I hit it to play one quarter and I won on the one play and cashed out at 41.50! That helped pay for my fabric sins!

Another road trip!

I did not get to sew today.  I went to see two quilt shops in New Jersey.  I did not get anything at the first shop (it was kind of uninspiring), but really enjoyed visiting "The Little Shop" in Haddonfield, NJ.

I have been busy....

I went to Maryland with friends on the weekend and we visited 2 quilt shops.  One in Savage and one in Annapolis.  Added stuff to my stash - yikes!!  We saw a neat ship in Annapolis harbor.  I will hopefully post the picture tomorrow.
