Section 10 - Fat Quarter Sampler Quilt

Image
Berks Quilter's Guild is doing the Quiltmaker Fat Sampler Quilt. This is the first section of my quilt!

Old Maids

Made I cute little block today for our guild called "Old Maids". The gal who organized it says to use a floral (medium to large scale print) that reminds you of you Aunt Tillie's floral dresses and a tone-on-tone green that matches the leaves in your floral fabric. Then make the reverse block. I think it's cute and fast and great for a beginner!

Winter!

Winter is still clinging on here in PA. It was 80 degrees here on wednesday and today we are getting 5-10 inches of snow!! I made this second block for my new sampler!

Sampler # 5

It's been a few days since I blogged, we took an overnight trip to Philadelphia with our friends. We saw some really beautiful and historic sites, including the Betsy Ross house. They had a beautiful antique Double T quilt in Betsy's bedroom and my friend and I both want to make one now! I have been working on a challenge quilt the past few days. I also started a new sampler with my online sampler group. I am doing mine in two colors - yellow and blue/green!!! I am not sure how I feel about the color choice I made since teal is my least favorite color!
