Busy Busy

Image
It's been a busy week. I got a little sewing done. Today I made the paper panache mystery block for this month. It said it would be US -centric and it certainly was! I also took an accidental landscape class at our guild last week! It was very fun! This weekend we took a trip to Pittsburgh for Andrew to see the University of Pittsburgh. Below is the Cathedral of Learning on the Pitt Campus and a view from the Duquesne Incline. On the way home, we stopped in Uniontown to see a quilt shop and Andrew saw a church he really liked: Then we visited Fallingwater .... it was beautiful! After that, we went to another quilt shop in West Virginia and headed home!

100 squares

Between the kids, classes, and gardening I have only managed to get one block done! But there are 100 squares in it so I feel I accomplished SOMETHING!!!

New Fabrics!

I picked up some really cute snowmen - the collection is winter gatherings by Andover. I also bought a piece of Posh by Moda.

My first crocus came up today! Also took some shots of dried out hydrangea. Very pretty!

Gross!!

Three puking children over the past week equals GROSS. I escaped with my camera today!

Rain and Wind!

We had terrible rain and windstorms today, but in between the storms there were so wonderful blue skies!

I had a friend stay over and sew this weekend!  We hit some new quilt shops (and some old ones!)  The bee prints are from Debbie Beaves for RJR.  The fish print is Makower Fancy Fish and the green is Shadowplay from Maywood Studio.
