Not much sewing today - working a quilt show.

I got busy helping out at a local quilt show at the Kutztown Historical Society today. It's a really neat building in town! Our friends are having a showing of 32 quilts from their private collection of antiques. There are also many other quilts for sale!
I traded one of my sewing machines in yesterday for a Pfaff 2058. I have not had much time to play with it yet!

I am going to come down and see the quilt show one of these weekends, I hear its on till the end of May or so, right?
Glad you liked my tumblers, they are fun to make, there are a lot of seams involved, not sure how many you could stack for it to go thru the cutting machine though.
would be interested in knowing !

A fellow quilter on the quiltville blog asked how my quilt based on a coneflower from my garden was going: it is going fine, but slow, my kids have been keeping me busy! I had to pull the one yellow out of my palette since I had picked too many colors, but I think the orange captures the flower center well!! I put the photo up as a reminder of what I pulled colors from.  I really like the look so far!

Plain border or busy border?

I have about 10 of each DD blocks done.  While on our road trip, I helped my friend find a border for her DD.  But I realized I hadn't really considered mine (after the trip was over of course).  I am not sure which way I want to head.  Busy or plain?  What would you do?  I think I am favoring the dark green at this point....
